Geof Banyard

“In 2004 I realised the difference between being a comic artist and not being a comic artist was the ‘making a comic’ thing”. Having an eye for the poignant as well as the comic, Geof points a twisted finger at society (and himself).

Hanna ten Doornkaat

Howard Litchfield

An artist, art historian and creative writer. Drawing inspiration from a wide range of influences, including Surrealism, Expressionism, Japanese manga, science fiction, Egyptian mythology, Beat literature, and 13th–14th century Tuscan painting.

Mangy

Despite a very difficult childhood, drawing was a way to transport me to other universes, to explore them and to flesh them out. Drawing was also my only way to (secretly) express myself, as I was not allowed self expression.

Arwendur

An established and accomplished British photographer producing evocative imagery for the love of it, Arwendur has worked with leading international fetish models.

David Hicks

Travel photographer extraordinaire, captures the spirit of a place and its people as few photographers are able. He lives on a restored floating Dutch brothel on the Thames.

Jenny Boot

From an early age she was attracted to beauty in the images of fashion and music. It was not the brands or the clothes that attracted her, but the photographs.

Lisa Furness

Eugène Satyrisci

Describing himself as a social commentator and agent provocateur, Eugène Satyrisci travels and writes in equally abundant measures. He is SomethingDark’s regular Critique writer.

Fred Hayes

My writing hasn’t changed much over the years – I still want to show the dark underbelly of society, and an exploitative establishment, for what they are. I couldn’t get any pleasure from life if I weren’t non-conformist.

K

K pushes his imagination and pen to places where angels and fools fear to tread (at least we think K is a “he”). K is the initial letter of the transliteration of the Japanese word for “beast”, kedamono.

Michael Hemmingson

Michael Hemmingson wrote things, from novels to literary criticism, memoir to fake biographies. He preferred footnotes rather than endnotes.
