|Place of Birth||Pleiades|
BioMichael Hemmingson wrote things, from novels to literary criticism, memoir to fake biographies, screenplays to poetry, stage plays to haiku for postcards, journalism to political rants for the New World Order. He preferred footnotes rather than endnotes.
He has worked as a pizza maker, process server, corporate office drone, porn cameraman, crime reporter, and a father to Rominna Michelle Hemmingson.
The short biography above was supplied to us by Michael before his death. We have chosen to leave it unaltered. Pleiades, which he listed as his birthplace, is a star cluster relatively close to the Earth; he reportedly died of a heart attack in Tijuana, Mexico, on 9 January 2014 at the age of 47.
Michael was a writer, and a prolific one. He wrote nonfiction as well as all forms of fiction in many genres; he was the recipient of awards and grants for his writing and was widely published. For part of his career Michael reported and wrote for the San Diego Reader; see their obituary, with links to his work for the publication: Michael Hemmingson.
Michael Hemmingson, rest in peace.
