SomethingDark in Berlin exhibition extended to 14 JanuarySDk Updates

SomethingDark in Berlin, an exhibition of fine art and photography as featured in SomethingDark webmagazine, has been extended to 14 January 2017. The exhibition opened on 2 September at Ivooo Photostudio/Artspace in the north-west Berlin district of Wedding, and was extended in agreement with Ivooo’s proprietor, the Berlin-based Dutch photographer, Ivo Hofsté.

The exhibition’s theme is based on the latest edition of SomethingDark webmagazine (SDk03), “The built environment and urban decay”. Artwork and photography from SDk03 shares wall space with additional complementary work by SDk03 contributors, and with work by Ivo Hofsté, one of whose specialties is urban and industrial photography.

The continuing exhibition of SomethingDark in Berlin will be moving between the front room (Room 1) and the studio room (Room 2) at Ivooo according to the artspace’s schedule of exhibitions until 14 January. Not every piece of art will be on exhibition at all times, with a small selection of works rotating with others by the same artist; all work is for sale. Visitors to the exhibition can request to view additional artwork that is not hung at the time by simply asking Ivo, or contact us here at SomethingDark for further information about available art.

Opening on Thursday 20 October at Ivooo for two weeks is Mōmentum: Der Moment versus das Moment, part of the Month of Photography, Berlin 2016. (See details of the Mōmentum exhibition at Ivooo on the Monat der Fotografie Berlin website.)

Ivooo Photostudio/Artspace is in the Afrikanisches Viertel (African quarter) of Wedding, at Togostrasse 6, 13351 Berlin-Wedding.
